Hey Guys!
Welcome to Malton's magic pantry, we are a couple of ladies
who live in Malton, (Yorkshire's food capital)
We are passion about food, we loooooooooove food and we are also
passionate about beauty and health. Food is not only delicious, it contributes
to our health and beauty. What you put on the inside shows on the outside. We
are here to share our passion and our secrets that will keep you looking
beautiful and feeling healthy. Whilst we
live on a budget like everyone else we believe the occasional treat is
necessary, and a bit of luxury and indulgence makes everyone feel special. Shavings of black truffle aren't just for the
master chefs!
I'm Evelyn (23), originally from Uganda now living in Malton
via Manchester. I work as a new product development technologist for a food
manufacturer which means I create the recipes that end up as the ready meals
you buy in your supermarket. My job is about using my passion and creativity
for food to ensure that the food you buy in your supermarkets are delicious and
healthy. I'm new to Malton but I am
amazed at what foodie treats Malton has to offer and I just had to share with
you guys.
My blogging partner is Claire (45), who used to be a chef
but now does a 'real' job. She has a
magic pantry, hence the name of the blog, from which amazing food seems to
appear - magically! Claire has lived in
Malton for 5 years and has found her spiritual food home here. She
also has a great orchard, from which we will make brilliant and simple sauces,
chutneys, jams and jellies and alcoholic drinkies in the Autumn. These will make great Christmas
presents. She doesn't do recipes, it is
just a bit of this and a bit of that and then something amazing appears. She is magic and frankly very beautiful and inspiring and has shown me this whole new
world to food.
We hope you enjoy it; we hope you find it fun, interesting
and useful and would looooove to get your feedback on the recipes and tips that
we will share...
